Plans and Dreams for 2014

When I started blogging here a couple of months ago, I had every intention that I'd have the conviction to write on a regular basis. So far that hasn't happened, NaNoWriMo got in the way, then work over Christmas was insane, and finally when the holidays approached I was having too much of a good time to come online and blog. However, it's a new year so I am back! Hoping to get somewhere with it this time. Especially since I have so many stories to tell, of the amazing trips I took in 2013, but before I look back over that, here's some plans and idea's for 2014.

Pafos Cyprus November 2013

In 169 days time (not that I am counting or anything!) I have a 3 week trip booked. 95% of it is tour based, but it's so far looking like this:

Fly into Spain for the (somewhat controversial) Fiesta de San Fermin. I lived in Spain for a few years, and I am all for keeping cultural traditions alive, and am also of the school that you can't decide you don't like something until you try it. So I am really looking forward to it. I'll be looked after by the lovely folks at Busabout, and we're staying in San Sebastian, which I am so looking forward to visiting after being told me how beautiful it is.

From there I will head to Barcelona where I hope- if I can get my head around public transport- I will visit La Pedrera, which I missed last time I was there. I'm only in Barcelona for a day (ish) before flying down to Split, in Croatia. I've got two days to myself, which I haven't decided what to do with yet, before I get on a Croatia Sailing trip. I am so excited for this, last summer I sat in a cafe along the front of Diocletian's Palace and watched a ton of backpackers finding their way to their boats, and was so jealous. Sun, sea, and cocktails sound perfect to me.

For my last week I will be doing the Busabout Bohemian Trek, again, this is something I wish I'd done last summer, particularly as when I finished my trek only a handful of people were doing Bohemian. It travels to Zagreb where I am dying to go to The Museum of Broken Relationships. Then onto Ljubljana, and Bled, Slovenia for a couple of days. I really hope to go white water rafting whilst I'm there it looks amazing. From Bled we move on up to Bratislava, Slovakia & lastly up to Prague. If you know me, you know I've already been to Prague, but I got to my hostel at 10,30pm and was on a bus by 7,45am! So this time I plan on seeing it, particularly looking forward to visiting the Lennon Wall.

I'm hoping to also get to Berlin to visit some friends I met this summer, and have sort of arranged a trip through Italy that will take me from Venice to Sorrento over the course of 10 days. I also plan on making it up to Edinburgh for Hogmanay this year.
