Finnish Lapland

OK, I cheated a little bit here because this post is about Lapland, but who doesn't want to go to Lapland?!

First up, Santa Claus lives in Lapland, and who does Santa rely on to pull his sleigh?

REINDEER.

You can go on Reindeer sleighs, and meet Santa Claus, and he is there ALL YEAR AROUND (my friend met him in September). In Finnish Lapland you can do excursions with a company called Santa Safari, and they offer programme's year round. In the winter you can do things like see Santa and his elves, husky- dog sled and the summer you can go canoeing or mountain biking.

What else goes in on in Lapland except for Santa and his reindeers? Well, it's in the Arctic Circle, and that means at night time you have the chance to see the Aurora Borealis. In the summer, the chance to experience Midnight Sun. Which I am kind of obsessed with. My friend Kiara at Gallop Around the Globe just got to see in Iceland.

You can also take part in adventure sports like riding on a snow mobile or, even more exciting to me, go Husky Sled riding. Which I have also wanted to do forever. My friend owns a husky dog, and I just think they're the most beautiful animals. I know, the ones that get used for pulling sleds are pack animals, but they just fascinate me, and it's something I've always wanted to do.
