1. For those who don't know you, introduce yourself and your blog
Hello folks! I’m Mandie and I blog over at RamblingMandie.com (because, you know…I wander about aimlessly and ramble on a lot). My blog started as one girl’s mission to escape her comfort zone and create a better reality by setting off on a great adventure.

The Life of a Day Break Tour Guide

Image
I was really vague about my job when I wrote about coming to Lapland, the main reason being that the company hadn't really dished out job descriptions, so we didn't know a whole lot about what was going on until we got here. Plus since I last wrote, I've taken three day breaks around our day break resort, as well as worked two days at another resort of ours that short break guests (those staying 2-4 nights) use.

One of my favourite photo's from Reykjavik, picking up the beautiful houses on the opposite side of the city pond and the autumn colours, gorgoeus!

Across the Border

Image
Since my time in Slovakia, I have been obsessed with border crossings, and now I have to cross one each day to go to work. Each day I wake up in Sweden and go to work in Finland.  It is slightly annoying living in Sweden because they’re in fact an hour behind Finland (but it’s worth it to lay in bed and watch the Northern Lights), so our time is always well out. It’s in fact 10,30pm as I write this where I live, but we have to work on Finnish time so it’s actually 11,30pm. And, to really complicate things at home, it’s 9,30pm. So much to remember.

The only tourist attraction I managed to see in Munich. Have you visited, what should I see when I eventually go back?

Traveller Tuesday with Ashley from A Southern Gypsy

Each Tuesday from now on I'll be hosting interviews with other travel bloggers, to help you discover more blogs and even more inspiration to travel. If you want to be part of this series please contact me

This week we have Ashley who is the mastermind behind A Southern Gypsy, a travel blog focused on adventure, outdoors and wildlife, and is headed to South East Asia in November on her first long term, solo trip. Hates mustard & pickles. Needs coffee to function.

1. For those who don't know you, introduce yourself and your blog.

I’m Ashley, the mastermind behind A Southern Gypsy- an outdoor, adventure and wildlife travel blog. I started A Southern Gypsy a little over a year ago when I started planning my first solo, long-term trip to Southeast Asia. Now, as I’m sitting here writing this, I have 2 weeks until I’m on a plane to Thailand.

Getting Acclimatised to Life in Lapland

Image
Walking to lunch today, my hair froze. I didn’t realise I had much of it sticking out from my scarf, but clearly I must’ve to have it freeze, in spite of knowing it was 13 degrees below it wasn’t something I was expecting. It was the first day I felt cold (I’ve yet to wear any thermals).

Foto Friday: Cyprus

Image
It's been more than a year since my cousin got married in Cyprus, and we spent the rest of the week lazing on the beach. Since then she and her husband have had a baby (he's just a couple of week's old)! Time really does fly!

1. For those who don't know you, introduce yourself and your blog

We are Brittany and Boomer of Paws for Beer. Our blog is devoted to my three favorite things: travel, dogs and beer. I primarily solo travel with Boomer, finding dog friendly activities and great breweries along the way. Boomer and I both love road trips so that is the main focus of our travels.
