Traveller Tuesday with Stephanie of The World As I See It

Image
Each Tuesday from now on I'll be hosting interviews with other travel bloggers, to help you discover more blogs and even more inspiration to travel. If you want to be part of this series please contact me.

1. For those who don’t know you, introduce yourself and your blog

I’m Stephanie, a Canadian gal with a passion for wildlife, the great outdoors, travel and writing about it all! I generally travel solo and part time and write about my journeys on my travel blog The World As I See It. The World As I See It is full of tales from my hikes to my travels in Ontario and abroad and will hopefully inspire you to get out and explore whether it’s your own backyard or a new foreign city.

Stunning South West: Sutton Bingham

Image
Welcome to the charming village of Sutton Bingham.

Yes, that's it, right there.
No, you can't see it? Well, alright, fair enough. You can't actually see the charming village of Sutton Bingham.... since it's under the water. It's like Somerset's own Atlantis, a village lost under the water- and I'm not talking about so- called localised flooding like we suffered a couple of years back there. No, this village was purposely lost.

My Great British Road Trip

Image
It is entirely possible that I'll be unemployed (again) in August. Since I'm in the market, I should by then have a car. I decided that, since my parents will be away as well as my unemployment, I will take a little road trip around the UK. Pack a backpack, the dog, and a tent and just drive!

Now first up, I have never camped in my life. Not in a tent, anyway. I built a bivvy when I was 13 in some forest somewhere on a school trip, but that is the extent of my camping. So I definitely need some advice about camping (anything in the comments would be grand, or send me a message). I also have no idea how Tiger, my dog, will take to the idea of camping in a tent, ha, that could be interesting. As for the nights I plan on visiting cities, well that's what Travelodge is for (or friends to stay with)!

I'm Meanne "Anneklien" Casica based in the UK for 14 years now, born and raised in the Philippines, 100 % Filipina and a travel enthusiast. I discovered Solo travelling last May 2014, and at the same time I started my own blog Anneklien's SoloTravels and Adventure which is about my travel journals that gives information and tips, and encourages others to travel more through my photographic stroll.

Stunning South West: Skulking Around Sherborne

It's been so quiet around here (again, sorry about that), with no travel planned honestly I didn't know what to tell you, then Claire from Travel Candy visited and stayed in Corton Denham. Shortly after, my boyfriend arrived. Ten days later on his journey back to Manchester he announced that, "I'm kind of jealous of where you live, public transport aside". This photo essay also popped up on Buzzfeed and I thought, hell! I live in an awesome place so I should tell you more about that!
I'm starting with the Abbey Town of Sherborne.

All's Quiet on the Western Front

I didn't write for a couple of weeks, sorry about that. I know it's important to have a regular schedule here but I just got caught up with life, and not having any travel plans means I don't really know what to tell you. So I decided to tell you what's been going on in my world instead.

I’m Sam, and I blog at Indefinite Adventure about my travels with my husband, Zab. We’re both from London, UK, but now base ourselves in Berlin. We started travelling together long term in January 2013, even though we’d been together for over seven years at that point and now we seek out unique experiences, cafes and vegan food wherever we go.

My name is Jenna, and my husband and I created the travel blog called Wander The Map. When we travel, we focus on adventure whether it’s inside the city or out in nature. We currently live in Minnesota, but we both have flexible schedules, so we travel as much as possible!

Moving the Goal Posts

Image
If I really think about it, it all changed back in May 2014 when my boss announced that him and his family were leaving the pub I worked in. Almost four years to the day that I started working there. I'd never planned on staying in the UK that long in the first place. My original goal had been to work there for a year & move back to the Canary Islands with enough savings to support myself. Yet that goal changed.
